Tyler Glasnow (4-3, 3.30) vs. Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.43).
I didn't expect yesterday's outcome, not with Blake Treinen and Tanner Scott pitching the eighth and ninth innings (neither of those came easy, but we still eked out a 3-2 win). We even overcame two incredibly shitty plays by Michael Conforto in left field: one, a first-inning missed fly ball that led to the Mariners' first run; and then in the seventh, a line drive that he plays off the wall and threw very wide to second base, allowing Randy Arozarena to reach second instead of being caught dead to rights.
Conforto, who got the start in left field, must be stopped.
He's back below the Mendoza line, btw, with an 0-for-2 performance yesterday.
I also wouldn't have expected us to win a game in which we didn't play Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tommy Edman, Max Muncy, or even the injured Will Smith.
This can't be our postseason strategy, right?

Mets won.
Andrew Heaney back on board. May pitch after Glasnow tonight. No Shohei, Max or Teo in lineup.
Reds put up a six-spot in the third inning, but it's a ballgame here in Milwaukee. B6, Cincinnati up 7-3 but two on and one out for Milwaukee.
Two-out RBI single by PH Jake Bauers. It's 7-4 Reds, tying run at the plate for the Brewers.
Reds get out of it. It's 7-4, end-6
no matter how good these new arms are i think we're stuck with Treinen and Scott for the playoffs
Rushing with a bullet HR
1-0 LA
Just got back from dinner, and I see we've tied it at 3 in the top of the seventh.
But Treinen is on the mound now. Yikes.
Treinen yields a leadoff single to Randy Arozarena, but just gets Cal Raleigh swinging.
Reds ended up winning, so it's a virtual tie going into the final day of the season! If the Reds win, they will face the Dodgers in the Wild Card round.
Arozarena steals second with two outs and Polanco at the plate. Polanco had a three-run HR earlier in this game. Yikes again.
Oh, it was Andrew Heaney who gave up the three-run HR to Polanco. Of course.
Treinen gets the third out on a swinging K!
Vesia with three Ks as well in the eighth.
September Kiké strikes again!
Kiké with a two-run, one-out double in the ninth. It's 5-3 LA.
Henriquez with three Ks as well! What the hell just happened here?!
NINE straight strikeouts?!

Henriquez did good. last game tomorrow. same time as Rams . smh
