Yoshinobu Yamamoto (11-8, 2.58) vs. Jalen Beeks (5-2, 3.67).
With their unlikely win last night in extras, the Dodgers' magic number to win the NL West is one. All we need is one favorable outcome, from seven remaining events (the Dodgers have one game in Arizona, followed by three games in Seattle; the Padres have three games in Arizona), and the NL West is ours.
Gosh I'd love to clinch the divisional win at Chase Field today. Hmm, if we were to win on the road today, how might we celebrate? I wonder...

I love that the Snakes are still pissed off about the Dodgers celebrating in their pool.
Yoshi looks great in the first.
Freddie opens the second with a homer. 1-0 Blue T2.
4 runs for the Boys in the second. 4-0 mid 2.
Hey, we're up 4-0 in the second!
Only 15 more runs to make a comfortable lead for this bullpen!
Of course, I go out of my way to design a color-coordinated Game Thread photo, and the Snakes are wearing their alternate uniforms.
Updated image in the GT.
4-0 LA, mid-3
Kike with a nice leadoff double to start the fourth.
Yams had some trouble there in the third, but got out of it. Still 4-0 LA
Shohei with a pool shot HR!
6-0 LA!
He golfed that one from his ankles. Unbelievable. Jessica Mendoza again with the keen observation!
Shohei hits a bomb that lands in the Snakes precious pool. 6-0 T4.
54th HR of the year for Ohtani.
Six runs...maybe enough to go swimming?!
Freeman with ANOTHER HR (his 23rd), so it's 8-0 LA
Freeman has been looking a little weaker at the plate lately, so I'm happy to see him connecting like this.
Freddie with another 2 run homer. 8-0 Blue T4.
Pages with a two-out walk, so here's Conforto.
wherefore art spank?
Conforto flies to center.
8-0 LA, mid-4. I may go for a run.
Four scoreless innings for Yamamoto. He had Snakes on second and third, and got out of it with a K.
8-0 LA through 8
I can quick holding my breath now. Well, until Tuesday.
