Dylan Cease was mowing us down in the first two innings: five straight swinging Ks, followed by a Max Muncy weak tapper to the mound. But then the fourth inning came around, and seven of eight consecutive Dodgers reached base, and suddenly the Dodgers were up 6-2 on the Padres. Cease ended up lasting only five innings, and although the Dodgers used seven pitchers to secure the victory (the day before another spot-start and/or bullpen game), it seemed like a pretty big win in the opener of this four-game series.
Oh yeah, and that Ohtani guy pitched as well. He gave up a run and lasted only one inning, so his ERA is 9.00.
I hope that guy makes it in the bigs.
Anyway, today is game #2 and who knows what we'll see on the mound, so I hope the Dodgers are ready to (yet again) bat their way out of trouble.

Spanky...Doc didn't even leave foul territory. The ump that threw him out is the same ump that made that horrible call last night on Machado's swing that went around. Trip Gibson said he checked. Next swing Machado hit a sac fly and scored a run. This shit really riles me up. If you're drinking, time to have one for me!

@karen....he still came out of the dugout when they said not to. i just dont understand how afterward the padres manager came out and didnt get thrown out. i mean the Dodgers got the warning too when they did nothing so why didn't the coming out of the dugout also apply to both.

@karen...the padres announcer was calling the shenanigans while it was happening. he said Doc got the warning and a couple seconds later he came out and got ejected. i dont know what joe davis was doing at that time....prolly interviewing Kershaw.
