Pedro Martinez (0-0, -.--) vs. Vicente Padilla (0-0, -.--).
Q: What do the McCourts and the Dodgers have in common?
A: They both want a split at home! HA HA HA
If you thought yesterday was weird, it gets weirder. Pedro vs. Padilla in the postseason, and we're not talking Mets vs. Rangers. The Dodgers are looking to recover from the pesky Phils' offensive onslaught, which has battered them for three straight NLCS games (dating back to last year).
In an attempt to reverse the powerful negative mojo vortex started by Matt Stairs and continued by Carlos Ruiz, we are sending an unprecedented four Sons (AC, Delino, Orel, and Sax) to today's game. I have it on good authority that Rob from 6-4-2 will also be in attendance, so the Dodgers' at-game Blog-Fu should be strong today.
GO BLUE!!!

So, did I miss anything while I was gone?
Before that last pitch, Vin Scully:
"The deuces are about as wild as they can get."
Caballito to score the second run!
Rancho Ardiendo again!
CLUTCH!!!!!
Now that's a mature AB.
YEAH!!!
The Philly bullpen is as advertised.
I Want More.
More, you want more?
Oliver, Oliver...
Sorry, lest I digress.
DB: Ditto on the maturity level there. Kemp, take note.
Is there a rule for how many pitchers you can use in one inning? This short game is now getting looooong. But I'll take it!
Let's get a coupla insurance runs, send in Brox, and call it a split.
I guess I started watching at the right time.
That was craptacular.
why Manny, why?
Manny???????????/
What the hell?
ARGH Manny. Oh well.
Manny was dead red on that pitch. Just missed it.
I'll take a lead going to the 9th anytime.
Call me Mary Sunshine, although on the way home I yelled at my radio for a frickin rally.
Got one.
Listen, I don't want to say I told you so...
Top of the order. Alright Jon. You got this.
One down.
Do not walk this pineapple-sucker!
I'm sorry...but...I have always held my breath when JB comes in...
Come on. Let's show them that Our Bullpen is better than theirs.
This wouldn't be a good time to hit Victorino, would it?
Go eat some spam, Shane.
One more out...
Focus boys, focus...
Frikking great play...
Dear TBS:
Kobe does not play for the Dodgers. No one cares how he responds to the game. Quit it.
Fucutley.
SHUT THE EFF UP CHIP CAREY
Utley. Ugley. Fugley.
Chase Fugley.
or is it Skip?
Harry?
Utley is happy that this part of the game means he gets to hit, not throw.
*deep breath*
Verrrry close.
That was a ball.
Almost there. . .
WE WIN!!!
I love it when Brox comes through...he still scares me...
So a split it is...
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a win!
*Throws glove in air*
Nice, nice, very nice.
Josh Rawitch sighting on TBS!!!
DODGERS!!!
@MLASF,
I saw it with my heart.
New avi magic works.
Erin won't say it, but i will:
We told you so!
Thanks for not giving the Dodgers any credit, TBS. What assholes.
HLACK gets the win.
WTF with this guy's suits? Somewhere a pimp is running around naked.
Fuck yeah!!
Dodger interviews = classy.
This team drives me nuts, but goddammit, I love em.
Here's why wins are a useless stat for pitchers:
Padilla: 7.1 IP, 4H, 1BB, 1ER= ND
Kuo: 0.2 IP on three pitches= W
I guess we have two more for the post-season Dodgers wall of heroes:
Padilla and Ethier. Should we include Utley?
Best part is LA won...next stop the city of brotherly hate...Go Blue!...
Utley's arm should be along side Holliday's nuts.
and Padilla should be in for Game 3 of the NLDS.
Karina: Nah. His efforts were appreciated, no doubt, but they lack the comedy factor of the Matt Holliday error.
Chan-Ho is the losing pitcher? I love it!
I need Holliday's home address so I can send him a nutcracker for Christmas.
Awesome! 1-1 and were heading to Philly
*we're
Picking up a win in the first two games means it's NOT the same as last year!
Si se puede!
Well Lads fans...I am off...I have an appt with a famous old stool at John's Grill...'til next time...Keep the faith!...
@SFDF
That didn't come out right.
neither did that.
Tell John to wash his grill. That's unsanitary.
Damn. Too slow.
Ditto on the Kobe comment. Besides, I thought he was an angels fan. http://www.iconsportsmedia.com/image_dir/album44130/md_42978138_Kobe_Bryant.jpg
Folks, I just looked in the mirror and noted that my playoff beard is full of gray. I look like Jerry Garcia, without the bushiness, the talent, the drugs, or followers. Should have checked on the beard color BEFORE the game today so I could do a before and after comparison.
Your beard is weird!
OKAY...I sit at the same location...a stool...inside of 'John's Grill'...a famed SF eatery...They carry my fav libation and I am off of work...ergo...'Well Lads fans...I am off...I have an appt with a famous old stool at John's Grill...'til next time...Keep the faith!...''
sorry but grammar is not a strong point for me...I am but lowly carpenter...
We know man, we're just quick with the jokes.
NOW I am OUTTIE!

Dodgers song as interpreted by Legomen.
Charley Steiner:
"Now it's a best of 5!"
Hey, we're pretty good at those, aren't we?
sorry...thin skin...the sun was in my eyes...i had a paper cut...go have fun folks...I'm gonzo...
@Josh
Charley (and you) took the words right out of my mouth.
Plus we got some momentum now.
Hey mlb. Thanks for the game that gets out in rush hour in la.
