Yes, Hiroki Kuroda was surprising. But Chad Billingsley, Clayton Kershaw and Greg Maddux were all disappointing. Now Lowe is gone, Billingsley is coming out of a cast and Kuroda and Kershaw are question marks?
What has Ned done to improve this staff? Nothing. And to let the best pitcher walk is a shame.
What could be done? Re-sign Lowe. Or, trade for an "Ace" like Jake Peavy or Roy Halliday.
Heck, the Dodgers have had some mild success dipping into the Japanese market. Why not take chance?
Randy Johnson would have been a nice addition to the back of the rotation, especially at the price San Fran got him.
But nothing.Bluboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06784896596504806802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36360371.post-51385101619216665622009-01-11T14:07:00.000-08:002009-01-11T14:07:00.000-08:00One would think. One would think.Orelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01136247489970851448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36360371.post-51365139307732567342009-01-11T13:40:00.000-08:002009-01-11T13:40:00.000-08:00The Mets offered 3/$36million. But if Ned could give Schmidt 3/$47million for doing nothing, isn't Lowe worth at least that much?Bluboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06784896596504806802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36360371.post-61196703549317386922009-01-11T10:25:00.000-08:002009-01-11T10:25:00.000-08:00Townhome? Money talks, and we know Scott Boras will do whatever it takes to get his client that money. Lowe isn't gonna get a long-term deal, so why not shell the big bucks to keep him in LA?Bluboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06784896596504806802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36360371.post-83258065470663217372009-01-11T09:19:00.000-08:002009-01-11T09:19:00.000-08:00-1.
