John Ely (-. --- . .-. .-) vs. Aaron Harang (1-0, 1.50).
The Dodgers go for le sweep of Les Pères at le Parc de Petco this afternoon. Ely is making his first start of the year, and the opportuniste in me wants to trot out the whole ELYMANIA! trope. The réaliste in me is hoping for five solid innings.
The Dodgers roughed up Harang last year to the tune of dix-sept hits and douze runs over deux games, but that was at the relatively park factor-neutral Great American Ball Park. Petco (or PETCO, as the Pads would have it) could help the Harangutan go every which way but loose.
And I'll end my harangue thusly: After Colorado, it's nice to see the Dodgers beating the teams they're supposed to beat. San Francisco awaits, so let's get ready for them by kicking the Padres' asses. If you'll pardon my French.
