COMMENTS: Wow. If you thought the Dodgers' epic collapse against the Yankees in June was bad, at least they didn't save it for Game 1 of the LCS. Up 5-1 last night, the Rangers' bullpen allowed five runs in the eighth and the Yankees won 6-5. The two teams go at it again today, but if the Rangers don't tie the series up, all the Cliff Lees in the world won't help them.
As for the ballyhooed NLCS pitching matchup, I'm going to break from conventional thinking and predict that Lincecum gets lit up this afternoon. No, not like that. Phillies take this one, 5-1.

I have decided to root for the absolute worst possible outcome with the hope that suffering through the worst now means that better things will come later. I will take one for the team now if good things will happen down the road.
