Damn, E!

I find it hilarious that "small sample size" is commenting on these stats (after one month of play)

Will this finally be the year that a Dodger can be chosen to the Home Run Derby without some stupid international rule requiring different nationalities (I'm looking at you, Hee-Sop Choi)?

Triple Crown!

THERE'S TOO MANY THREADS. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Is this where I am suppose be?

Or was this where I was suppose be?

Josh S. said...

Raffy to the DL, Nick Green called up, per The Dylan.

Josh S. said...

I don't get the Green move. Hu's already on the 40-man.

Nostradamus said...

Green? really?

NicJ said...

is this where we are all hanging out? this feels like a chase scene in the old scooby doo cartoon. everyone just going through random doors with no definite direction.

NicJ said...

Im guessing Torre was at his desk trying to decide between Hu or Green and he happened to look at his mug of Bigelow green tea.

Josh S. said...

I understand your confusion Nic. It is your first day here, after all.

NicJ said...

I was actually looking for the Stevenson's Gravy website and i think i took a wrong turn.

Paul said...

I would have got away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids.

Paul said...

Great now I will go back to calling him Nic Johnson or Reed Green like back in spring training.

Nostradamus said...

There was quite a lot of content for an off day today.

Paul said...

Mr. C

I was totally on today. So the content amount seemed proper

-Nic

Holy spit that's funny. I only just got here after working on the puzzle and taking time out to get some sustenance in my stomach for the first time all day.

Now I'll go comment about something very similar in another thread.

Steve Sax said...

NicJ, I just lost my glasses again.

NicJ said...

Jinkies!

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Zoinks!

Anywho (no pun intended), the Green callup is probably because of Torre's preference to veterans and Hu's atrocious bat.

NicJ said...

The other example i was going to use was Threes Company. Which oddly enough starred Don Knotts also

NicJ said...

I like how the little article on greens call up says green is hitting an "altitude-enhanced .219 in 20 games for their triple-A" sounds promising.

Paul said...

Speaking of Scooby, Jeff Weaver starts rehab tomorrow oh no no no.

Josh S. said...

Best off day ever?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Let's hope Weaver doesn't fill up on Scooby Snacks.

Paul said...

Yeah lots of guys are killing the ball for the topes. Green isn't one of them.

NicJ said...

since we are on a Scooby Doo tangent, did anyone else find it weird that Shaggy was a vegetarian but was always shown eating some sort of chicken leg or slice of pepperoni pizza?

Paul said...

All bets are off when you get the munchies....so I have been told.

Kyle Baker said...

Looks like we've got another mystery on our hands.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Hu hasn't been tearing up the PCL either. His OBP and average are better, but Green's two homers give him a much better slugging (though it is Albuquerque).

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

It was probably the mayor.

NicJ said...

this is the kind of thread that happens when the Dodgers have an off day.

Kyle Baker said...

Watching MLB Network. They just did a countdown of nine most exciting rookies.

Our own #34: #1

Paul said...

Wow that EY commercial with EY jr makes me feel old.

Nostradamus said...

It's always the old guy that runs the carnival.

Paul said...

Also re: Mr. firley

I always wanted that black shirt with the yellow rose on it he use to sport. That thing was awesome!

NicJ said...

I always thought it was funny that he and Roper were scared of Tripper's "Homosexuality" because both their characters came off ass a little gay.

But then again maybe that's how it was supposed to be.

Josh S. said...

I used to run rides at an amusement park. I guess I'm a prime suspect.

But you won't catch me without the help of Batman, Sandy Duncan, or Tim Conway.

NicJ said...

HA, that was supposed to be "as" a little gay.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Who's #34?

NicJ said...

Fernando?

Nostradamus said...

How many latex masks do you usually wear, Josh?

Kyle Baker said...

Yes, Fernando.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Oh, I thought you meant current rookies. I was confused for a moment.

Kyle Baker said...

It would be an extremely short list to talk about our current exciting rookies.

NicJ said...

how many rookies do have on the team right now? Cmon, Ely....

Paul said...

The Harlem Globetrotters will figure this tread out. Just don't invite Davey Jones. I thought he voice was annoying even as a 5 year old.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

I'm sure this thread will get progressively worse once Scrappy Doo shows up.

Paul said...

My spelling is getting progressively worse as I try to multitask

Kyle Baker said...

Oh, you had to go Scrappy on us, MLASF. We'll regret it.

Nostradamus said...

@paul

I thogh you were Ponce de Leon, constantly on today.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

I could've pulled that one Scooby relative who's pale-white. I forget his name.

Kyle Baker said...

Fountain of Youth not Robotron, indeed.

Josh S. said...

@Mr. C: At least eight.

NicJ said...

Maybe baseball media got it right when they were fawning over Ubaldo this off season.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Ubaldo is really impressing me.

NicJ said...

Well Tracy is his manager so maybe he will burn him out by leaving him in games too long.

Paul said...

Mr. C

more like Moctezuma now... a prisoner in my own house.

Paul said...

What the hell was up with super scrappy dolor whatever he was suppose to be.

Kyle Baker said...

Reminds me of the "Poochie" Simpsons character.
